Here we will answer the 'build online training course' question.
So many people around the world have a strong desire to help people, and many of them have a skill that can do exactly that. At some point, they ask themselves how they can make a business out of these two assets. This leads many people to ask google how to make an online course.
Here we will answer all these questions to bring your desire and skill to a global audience and make a satisfying and profitable career.
Before we look at how to actually create an online course to sell, you will hopefully have looked at the 'How to Create an Online Course and Sell It' post.
If not please have a look at it here, and then come back here to see how to create your own online course.
Here we will learn how to build online training course within HighLevel CRM.
You may have heard of a CRM or Customer relationship platform and not thought that it was something that you, as a trainer, would need.
Well, there is a lot more to a CRM than what the name suggests. We use GoHighLevel for our sales processes here at selectedshop, but not only that we also use it to build training courses for our team.
You can find out more about this incredible CRM platform here.
In this tutorial, we will look at the 'Memberships' area in the GoHighLevel dashboard.
(Please note that the company name is HighLevel and their website is gohighlevel.com In this tutorial we use GHL.)
About this Tutorial
Here we will explain how you can easily create online classes using the online training course templates available in the 'Membership' area of GHL. We will find out that it is in fact easy to build online training course, with a little bit of help from HighLevel CRM.
Inside the Membership area, you have everything that you need to build your training courses. We will create a course, add the about section, the section about you and all the sections in your online training course. We will also add the text and videos.
There are four sections, Products, Offers, Analytics and Settings. We will start with the Products section where we will create our course.
Build online training course
We start by clicking the 'Create Product' link at the top right where we will have four options for the type of course we want to build. These are:
Sprint Course - Short courses to build gateway to memberships.
Marathon Course - Train and upskill your audience within your niche.
Membership - Nurture and mentor your network.
Build your own - Build a custom product that matches your content.
We will start with the 'Marathon Course' as this will be our main course. You can build the other types later as you expand your courses and concentrate on certain areas that you find there is a demand for.
We click 'Start Buiding' and give our new course a name, in this case it will be 'My Amazing Online Training Course', and click Create Product.
We will then see the outline of our course. As with everything in GHL, templates are there to get you started, in this case, there is a layout for your course for you to get started with.
Build the Structure
You can then start building the 'Product Structure', which is your course.
You will already have everything ready to dive right in and fill in the information.
The Template has:
Introduction
Welcome to the Course
About Your Instructor
Outline and Objectives
Fundamentals
Concept 1
Concept 2
Concept 3
The What, The Why, The How
The What

Add your Course Content
Add the information that you have put together in the relevant sections. You add information by clicking on the heading for each section. The main sections are 'Categories' and inside these is the 'Content.' You can rename, add and re-order both the categories and the content.
In the content area, you can the description, a thumbnail, downloadable files and of course a video. Work through everything until you have all your course content in tehre and in the order that you want your members to go through it.
Next, we will go to the course 'Details' at the top. Here we can add our description. Don't write too much but explain what the course is about, who it is for and what benefits you will receive for completing it. You can also add a thumbnail for your course.
Customize your Course
Next, we move on to the 'Customize' section. Again GHL is ahead of the game and offers three different layouts to display your training course. The three different options are:
Classic
New York
Neue
We will use the New York theme. Click 'Customise' on that and you have full control to customise the look and feel of your online training courses. Including adding your logo, your colours, background image, fonts, font sizes and a whole lot more.
Create you Offer
Once this is all done we move on to creating our 'Offer'. Of course, you can (and should) go back and look at your course again. Think about how you could improve it. We next choose the 'Offers' dropdown and click the 'Create Offer' link at the top right. Here we will give a name to what we are offering, the offer includes the course, so it could be, 'Lifetime Membership to My Amazing Online Training Course.' Or you could be more descriptive and include the pain that your course will solve. Make it catchy and appealing, in your voice.
You will then have to add the price. This is definitely not easy, but you will have done your market research and know the price range of your competitors. Don't stress too much over this, just add it and check it again before launch.
See who is working through your course
The 'Offers' section also gives you information on the number of courses you have sold and how much money you have made.
The 'Analytics' section gives you a clear analysis of who has logged into the course and how far they have got. You can use this to send encouragement to those that have stopped and then to congratulate those that have finished.
Final Settings
Then we come to 'Settings', where we have to add some important details.
In the 'Site Details' section we want to give an overall name to our course and all other courses. This could be 'Your Name Your Niche Training' or a brand name if you have one. Look at this like a university and the course you have just made is one part of the curriculum. You will also need to add that name, or a short version of it to the URL. This is what will be displayed in the web browser toolbar. You will also add your logo and browser favicon here.
To complete the setup you have to set your custom domain and email. These are the only two technical parts of the setup. HighLevel CRM, as ever has you covered and these parts are all covered and set up in your three free onboarding sessions.
